We are seeking a talented Video Editor with a strong portfolio and a passion for digital media. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing long-form YouTube videos and dynamic short-form content (like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts). A key part of this role will be leveraging AI tools to innovate and streamline the video creation process. The candidate must have prior professional experience and should also be comfortable with photo editing to ensure a cohesive and high-quality visual brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and edit raw footage into polished, professional videos for our YouTube channel and other social media platforms.
- Create engaging short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) that are optimized for vertical viewing and audience retention.
- Utilize AI-powered video editing and generation tools to create video snippets, b-roll, and other assets efficiently.
- Incorporate motion graphics, titles, sound effects, and background music to enhance video quality.
- Perform color correction, audio mixing, and other post-production tasks to ensure a high-quality final product.
- Edit photos for thumbnails, social media posts, and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new video concepts and ideas.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing, AI technology, and social media content.
- Organize and maintain a library of video and photo assets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work (please provide a link to your portfolio with your application).
Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Demonstrable experience or strong interest in using AI tools for video creation (e.g., Descript, RunwayML, Pictory, etc.).
Proficiency in photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom for creating compelling thumbnails and graphics.
Deep understanding of video formats and best practices for YouTube (long-form) and short-form video platforms (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
A keen eye for detail, storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
