Job Summary:- Supezo is looking for an organized and quality-driven Shop Floor Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing and assembly workshop. You will manage the daily production of premium modular kitchens, wardrobes and custom items. Your main goal is to ensure carpentry and assembly teams deliver flawless, high-end work on time while keeping the shop floor running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Production & Team Management
- Allocate daily tasks to carpenters, machine operators, and helpers based on the production schedule.
- Supervise the daily cutting, edge-banding, boring, and assembly of modular cabinets and premium panels.
- Monitor work progress hourly to ensure manufacturing targets and delivery deadlines are strictly met.
2. Quality Control & Precision
- Review production drawings, 2D layouts, and cutting lists to ensure absolute accuracy before production begins.
- Inspect finished modular units, shutter alignments, and premium finishes to eliminate defects or scratches.
3. Material & Inventory Tracking
- Verify incoming material deliveries against orders and report any damages or shortages immediately.
- Track the stock of essential workshop consumables, hardware, and edge-bands to prevent production delays.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production reports.
- Record downtime, rejection, rework, and scrap data.
- Update production records accurately & submit shift reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning to meet production schedules.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Logistics departments.
- Escalate production issues affecting delivery commitments.
- Participate in daily production review meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience supervising a shop floor, ideally within a modular kitchen, modular wardrobe, or commercial furniture manufacturing unit.
- Technical Skills: Ability to confidently read and interpret 2D furniture layouts, architectural drawings, and detailed cutting lists.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of premium wood variants, hardware fittings, edge-banding techniques, and modular joinery.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team of skilled workers, resolve conflicts, and maintain discipline on the floor.
