Job Title : Program Officer

Purpose of the Position
The Project Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and overall development of community service projects and programs. The role focuses on promoting sustainable community welfare initiatives, efficient management of facilities and resources, and strengthening outreach programs for women, children, youth, senior citizens, and the wider community.
The Officer shall work closely with the Project Committee, local stakeholders, partner organizations, and the National Office to ensure the effective implementation of programs and the smooth functioning of the community center and related activities.
Job Responsibilities
Community Development Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain positive relationships with local leaders, educational institutions, healthcare providers, NGOs, government departments, and community organizations.
2. Identify community needs through surveys, meetings, field visits, and interaction with residents and stakeholders.
3. Plan, organize, and coordinate training programs, workshops, awareness campaigns, and skill development initiatives for community members.
4. Coordinate and supervise activities conducted at the Community Center, including:
· Educational and learning programs
· Recreation and cultural activities
· Community meetings and outreach initiatives
· Health and wellness activities
· Counseling and support services
· Awareness and social action programs
· Youth and women empowerment activities
5. Encourage volunteer participation and community involvement in project activities and programs.
Administration and Operations
1. Manage the day-to-day administration and operations of the project and community center.
2. Coordinate meetings, conferences, training sessions, community programs, and events where applicable.
3. Maintain records, files, inventories, correspondence, and all documentation related to project activities and administration.
4. Supervise, assign duties, and coordinate the work of project staff, support staff, and volunteers.
Finance and Reporting
1. Assist in preparing annual budgets, project proposals, and programs plans for approval by the management committee.
2. Maintain accurate financial records of receipts, payments, grants, donations, and project expenditures.
3. Ensure proper issuance of receipts and maintenance of supporting financial documents and records.
4. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on project activities, finances, and program outcomes.
5. Coordinate documentation, reporting, and record maintenance related to grants, donor-funded initiatives, and training programs.
Project Development and Coordination
1. Support the planning, development, and implementation of new community projects, infrastructure, and programs.
2. Coordinate with consultants, government authorities, partner agencies, and service providers where required for project implementation and approvals.
3. Assist in mobilizing resources, grants, sponsorships, and partnerships to support project sustainability and organizational growth.
4. Participate in meetings, workshops, training programs, and organizational events as required.

Educational Qualification and Experience
· Graduate degree in Social Work, Community Development, Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
· Experience in community service, NGO management, administration, or project coordination will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
