Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis I – Chinese Cuisine to join our culinary team at our Multicuisine Fine Dining Restaurant. . The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic and Indo-Chinese dishes while maintaining consistency, quality, and hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of Chinese and Indo-Chinese dishes as per standard recipes.
- Assist in mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared before service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO).
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a Chinese or Pan-Asian kitchen.
- Good knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, sauces, and wok preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
