We are seeking two highly skilled Data & Reporting Engineers to support a critical initiative: the migration of our existing reporting suite to a modernized reporting platform. These roles are essential to ensuring continuity, accuracy, and scalability of business-critical reporting across multiple systems.
The ideal candidates will have strong experience with SQL-based data environments, proficiency in Java development, and a demonstrated ability to transform and organize data from multiple sources into clear, actionable outputs. Experience in financial services—particularly in trading, securities workflows, or Order Management Systems (OMS)—is highly desirable.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity to contribute to a fast-moving project with immediate business priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and migrate reports from a legacy reporting platform to a new reporting ecosystem
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries across MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS and related tools
- Utilize tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and DBeaver for querying and data exploration
- Build and maintain Java-based components to support reporting workflows and data processing
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into cohesive reporting structures
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all reporting outputs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions
- Validate and reconcile reports to ensure alignment with legacy outputs during transition
- Document data flows, transformation logic, and reporting definitions
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability of reporting systems
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in data engineering, reporting development, or similar role
- Strong proficiency in:
o SQL (MSSQL and PostgreSQL)
o SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
o ETL tools, especially SSIS
- Hands-on experience querying PostgreSQL environments (preferably using DBeaver or similar tools)
- Solid experience writing and maintaining Java code in production environments
- Proven ability to work with complex data models and integrate data from multiple sources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) or trading platforms
- Understanding of securities lifecycle, trading workflows, and financial instruments
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., trade reporting, compliance data)
- Experience with data warehousing concepts (star schemas, normalization, dimensional modeling)
- Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization techniques
- Exposure to modern data pipelines, automation, or orchestration tools
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
