GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Department: Strategic Initiatives
Job Title: Market Research Analyst
Type of Position: Full-time
Location: Bhubaneswar (Odisha, India)
Salary: As per industry standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Data Gathering.
Gather and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods
Interpret data, formulate reports and make business recommendations.
Identify and collect relevant data points, for example:
Clients/Prospects: Demographics, buying habits, needs/pain areas and price points.
Competitors: Pricing structures, current tactics and sales channels.
Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. You will be expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements.
Consistently exercise independent judgement and discretion in research matters

ANALYTICS AND REPORTING:

Deploy statistical modelling techniques to analyze data and forecast future trends.
Use integrity measures to check quality of recorded data.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Team that summarizes funding in a digestible, graphical and actionable manner.
Attend sales meetings and present your research.
Build out internal communication channels to keep the wider business updated with market news.
Work with the teams to devise future commercial strategies based upon your findings.

ELIGIBILITY:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing or related field.
Proven experience as a Market Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
At least 1-3 years of experience within similar roles.
Skilled on using search engines, web analytics and business research tools.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis tools/software is a plus.
Knowledge of eLearning, Software, Digital Marketing/Information and technology trends, competitors and market dynamics.
