Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse – Labour Ward to provide quality nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postnatal period. The nurse will work closely with doctors and the maternity team to ensure the safety and comfort of both mother and baby.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal condition during labor
- Provide continuous nursing care before, during, and after delivery
- Assist doctors during normal and complicated deliveries
- Prepare and maintain labour room equipment and instruments
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as prescribed
- Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records
- Ensure infection control and patient safety at all times
- Provide emotional support and guidance to mothers and families
- Assist in newborn care and breastfeeding initiation
- Respond promptly to emergency situations in the labour ward
Requirements:
- Diploma / BSc in Nursing (GNM or BSc Nursing)
- Valid Nursing Council registration
- Experience in Labour Ward preferred
