Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced professional to manage statutory compliance, internal audit, and regulatory requirements for our African operations, ensuring adherence to OHADA laws and local compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:1. Statutory Books & Accounts Maintenance
- Maintain statutory ledgers, journals, and books in compliance with OHADA standards
- Update and manage registers for shareholders, board resolutions, and company records
- Track share capital changes and company structure updates
2. OHADA & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OHADA Uniform Act and local regulations
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement necessary updates
- Coordinate with legal teams for alignment of financial and legal records
3. Corporate & Statutory Filings
- Handle timely filing of financial statements and statutory documents
- Support documentation for AGM, EGM, and board resolutions
- Manage director appointments/resignations and company restructuring
4. Audit & Internal Controls
- Support internal and external audits with proper documentation
- Maintain audit trails and reconciliations
- Implement internal control systems for compliance tracking
5. Document Management
- Maintain and archive compliance documents and legal records
- Ensure proper digital and physical filing systems
- Track deadlines for all statutory filings
6. Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities, auditors, and consultants
- Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams
7. Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reports
- Highlight risks and delays in compliance
- Maintain compliance calendar and ensure timely adherence
