Job Summary
The Senior Sales Branch Manager is responsible for driving branch-level revenue growth, managing the sales team, and overseeing client acquisition and retention within the logistics and supply chain domain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of freight, transportation, and 3PL services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve branch revenue and profitability targets
- Drive new business acquisition across key sectors such as manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling logistics solutions (air, sea, road freight, warehousing)
2. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the branch sales team to ensure high performance
- Set individual sales targets and monitor performance metrics
- Conduct regular training, reviews, and performance evaluations
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Handle major negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract finalization
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
4. Branch Operations Oversight
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor service quality, turnaround times, and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
5. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
- Provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making
- Expand market presence within the assigned territory
6. Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
- Manage branch P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization
- Track and report KPIs including revenue, margins, conversion rates, and pipeline
- Prepare periodic sales forecasts and reports
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8–15 years of experience in logistics/supply chain sales, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, transportation, and 3PL solutions
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting systems
