Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Government Business Development Manager to drive business growth through government tenders, GeM, public sector projects, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying opportunities, managing bids, and securing government contracts in AI, IT, SaaS, cloud, or digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify government tenders and RFPs through GeM, CPPP, state eProcurement portals, and public sector procurement platforms.
- Analyze tender requirements and evaluate bid opportunities.
- Lead the complete bid lifecycle, including EOI, RFP, RFQ, technical proposals, commercial bids, and contract submissions.
- Coordinate with technical, legal, finance, and product teams to prepare compliant bid responses.
- Build relationships with government departments, PSUs, system integrators, and implementation partners.
- Develop partnerships with OEMs and consortium partners for large government projects.
- Ensure compliance with tender documentation, certifications, and eligibility requirements.
- Maintain a pipeline of government opportunities and provide regular bid status reports.
- Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, presentations, and government interactions.
- Support contract negotiations and project handover after award.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4–10 years of experience in government business development, tender management, or enterprise sales.
- Hands-on experience with GeM, CPPP, state eProcurement portals, and government procurement processes.
- Experience preparing bids for AI, IT, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, or digital transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of government procurement rules and compliance.
- Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: ₹23,968.73 - ₹68,228.31 per month
