ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales Expert is the primary driver of booking revenue and client satisfaction. Operating with full-circle ownership, you will manage the entire lifecycle of an itinerary: Sell, Book, Visa, Confirm, and Support. You will own personal revenue targets, conversion rates, and margin performance.
You are a destination specialist and a meticulous operator. From the moment an enquiry lands, you will qualify the lead, design the perfect itinerary, negotiate and close the sale, book every component flawlessly, coordinate flights and visas, and ensure the client receives a verified, error-free travel document pack before departure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: THE BOOKING JOURNEY
1. Sales & Enquiry Handling
(Lead to Deposit): Respond to B2C and B2B leads within SLA. Qualify dates, group size, budget, dietary, and visa needs upfront. Match the client profile to the most suitable itinerary. Upsell premium hotels and experiences to maximise revenue per booking. Build itemised cost sheets, negotiate effectively, and collect the deposit.
2. Component Booking
(Hotels, Transfers & Tours): Maintain a complete, up-to-date booking file in the CRM. Cross-check availability for every night, book correct room types and occupancies. Book all airport and inter-city transfers. Pre-purchase tickets, book escorted tours, and ensure every component is confirmed by the supplier within 24 hours.
3. Flight Coordination
(Agent Initiates & Owns): While our internal flights team issues the tickets, you own the outcome. Submit complete flight requests with exact passport names and deadlines. Verify accuracy, confirm flight details with the client promptly, and ensure e-tickets are added to the travel document pack.
4. Visa Tracking & Verification
(Application to Approval): Identify all visa requirements at the point of booking and advise the client. Provide the document checklist, chase outstanding documents, and issue invitation letters if required. Follow up with our visa partners, record updates in the CRM, and verify granted visa dates.
5. Confirmation & Documentation
(Zero-Error Departure): Chase every supplier for written confirmation and verify names, dates, and room types against the original booking. Compile all vouchers, e-tickets, and hotel confirmations into a comprehensive travel document pack. Call the client for a pre-departure briefing at least 10 days before travel.
