Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Video Editor / Reel Editor who can transform raw footage into high-performing short-form content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
The ideal candidate understands storytelling, audience retention, social media trends, and how to create scroll-stopping content.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos and reels (15-90 seconds)
- Add captions, transitions, animations, motion graphics, and sound effects
- Create engaging hooks and improve audience retention
- Follow brand guidelines and content strategies
- Source royalty-free music, stock footage, and visual assets when needed
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines
- Stay updated with social media trends and editing styles
Requirements
- Proven experience editing reels, shorts, and social media content
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual communication
- Experience with subtitle generation and motion graphics
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Portfolio showcasing previous reel or short-form video work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing content for personal brands, agencies, or B2B companies
- Basic graphic design skills
- Understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram content strategies
- Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools
