Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef – Café Operations to lead the kitchen of our signature café in one of Maharashtra’s most prestigious luxury residential communities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional who excels at blending authentic Indian regional flavors with refined Continental techniques to deliver exceptional resident dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, service expediting, plating, and quality control across all stations.
- Partner in developing and executing a dynamic café menu featuring seasonal specials, wellness options, and resident-inspired dishes.
- Manage food cost control, inventory, waste minimization, and profitability while maintaining premium quality.
- Uphold world-class hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP, FSSAI).
- Mentor, train, and lead the kitchen team to deliver consistent excellence.
- Engage with residents to gather feedback and create memorable dining experiences.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management from a reputed institution.
- 6–10+ years of progressive culinary experience, with minimum 3–5 years as Sous Chef / Jr. Sous Chef in upscale cafés, luxury hotels, fine-casual restaurants, or premium residential properties.
- Strong command of Indian regional cuisines and contemporary Continental/European techniques.
- Proven skills in menu development, costing, team leadership, and food safety.
- Passionate, resident-focused, and calm under pressure.
