Job Purpose
The Cashier is responsible for handling all guest billing transactions, processing payments accurately, maintaining cash controls, ensuring proper reconciliation of daily sales, and providing excellent customer service while supporting smooth lounge operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Billing and Payment Processing
· Generate accurate guest bills through the POS system.
· Process cash, credit card, debit card, UPI, wallet, and other approved payment methods.
· Verify bills, discounts, offers, and promotional schemes before processing payments.
· Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
· Resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with the supervisor.
Cash Handling and Reconciliation
· Receive and account for cash collections during shifts.
· Maintain an accurate cash float and petty cash, where applicable.
· Conduct opening and closing cash counts.
· Reconcile daily sales, payment receipts, and cash balances.
· Prepare shift-wise and daily cash reports.
· Deposit collections as per Company procedures.
POS Operations
· Operate and maintain POS systems efficiently.
· Ensure all sales transactions are entered correctly.
· Monitor voids, refunds, discounts, and complimentary bills with proper authorization.
· Report any POS system issues immediately.
Lounge Operations Support
· Coordinate with service staff regarding guest bills and payment settlements.
· Assist in handling guest queries related to billing and payments.
· Support smooth guest checkout experiences.
· Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
Compliance and Controls
· Ensure compliance with Company cash handling policies and SOPs.
· Follow statutory billing requirements, including GST compliance where applicable.
· Maintain records of invoices, receipts, and settlement reports.
· Prevent billing errors, cash shortages, or unauthorized transactions.
· Report suspicious transactions or irregularities immediately.
Customer Service
· Greet guests courteously during billing interactions.
· Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Qualifications
· Bachelors/Masters in Commerce (Hospitality, Finance, or related field preferred).
· Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
Experience
· 2–3 years of experience as a Cashier in a lounge, restaurant, bar, café, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
· Experience working with POS systems and digital payment platforms preferred.
Skills Required

Ability to work under pressure during peak operating hours.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,448.34 per month
