Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in domestic and international FMCG markets, building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts, and driving revenue growth for Convertex’s product portfolio. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, analyzing competitor activity, developing and executing sales and expansion strategies, and preparing business proposals and presentations. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with marketing, production, and supply chain teams to align go-to-market plans, ensure product availability, and support promotional activities. The role also involves tracking performance against targets, reporting on sales metrics, and recommending initiatives to improve market penetration and brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and negotiation.
- Market research and analysis capabilities, with experience in FMCG or consumer products preferred.
- Strategic planning and forecasting skills to develop territory plans and growth initiatives.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and finance.
- Proven experience in business development, key account management, or sales, ideally within FMCG or retail distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM or sales management tools.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives, and focus on achieving measurable targets.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territories as required for client meetings and market visits.
Salary :- Rs. 70,000/- p.m to Rs. 80,000/- p.m
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
