Reporting To: Managing Director
Job Summary
The Accounts Head will be responsible for leading the Finance & Accounts function for the company's Soya Chunks manufacturing business. The role includes financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, budgeting, MIS reporting, internal controls, and coordination with the manufacturing unit to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost management.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Prepare and finalize financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
- Monitor product costing, batch costing, and process costing.
- Analyse raw material consumption, production yield, wastage, and manufacturing variances.
- Review inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
- Support cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives.
Budgeting & MIS
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Develop monthly MIS reports covering profitability, production cost, inventory, receivables, cash flow, and working capital.
- Present financial analysis and business insights to management.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
Treasury & Working Capital
- Manage cash flow planning and fund utilization.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions.
- Monitor working capital, debtor ageing, creditor management, and cash position.
ERP & Internal Controls
- Ensure proper implementation and utilization of ERP/Tally/SAP.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit recommendations.
Factory Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Stores, Procurement, and Dispatch teams.
- Verify production reports, inventory records, and material consumption.
- Conduct periodic plant visits for financial review and stock verification.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Drive process improvements and capability development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely monthly financial closing.
- Accuracy of financial statements and MIS.
- Cost reduction and margin improvement.
- Inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
- Timely statutory compliance with zero penalties.
- Effective cash flow and working capital management.
- Successful completion of internal and statutory audits.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- CMA or MBA (Finance) may also be considered with relevant manufacturing experience.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing organization.
- Experience in food processing, edible oil, soybean processing, FMCG, or agro-processing industries will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and Companies Act.
- Expertise in Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Finance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Tally ERP, etc.).
- Advanced MS Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Head Office and Manufacturing Unit teams.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
