- Lead mechanical design of new products from concept sketches/specs through detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing-ready drawings l Design plastic components as per injection molding DFM principles (draft angles, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, gate/parting line considerations, tooling constraints)
- Design sheet metal parts and assemblies as per fabrication DFM (bend radii, tolerances, hardware selection, weld/fastening methods)
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure design robustness for manufacturing and assembly
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings (GD&T) for parts and assemblies
- Collaborate with electronics/embedded teams for enclosure and mechanical-electrical integration on IoT/hardware products
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners (mold makers, sheet metal fabricators, CNC shops) to validate designs and resolve production issues
- Build and review functional prototypes (3D printing, CNC, rapid tooling) and iterate designs based on testing feedback
- Prepare BOMs, design documentation, and photo-realistic renders for client presentations
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and mentor junior design engineers

Experience:
- Sheet Metal Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
