We are looking for a skilled and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer to handle installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown service for our advanced laser machines and automation systems.
This role involves extensive on-site support at customer locations, diagnosing mechanical/electrical/software issues, performing calibration, and ensuring high uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Install, commission, and calibrate laser machines, CNC systems, and automated production equipment at client sites.
- Perform breakdown analysis and repairs – mechanical, electrical, and software faults.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) services.
- Train customer operators and technicians during machine handover and support visits.
- Ensure proper documentation – service reports, installation checklists, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with in-house R&D and design teams for root cause analysis and technical improvements.
- Maintain a service ticketing system via ERP/CRM for timely task resolution.
- Provide remote support and guidance when on-site service is not required.
- Escalate unresolved issues internally and follow up until closed.
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in machine servicing / field installation preferred.
- Electrical panels, drives, sensors, actuators
- PLC (Siemens / Delta), HMI, basic programming
- Pneumatics and mechanical assemblies
- Laser machines (Fiber / UV / CO₂) – a big advantage
- Basic troubleshooting on PC-based control software and CNC controller interface.
- Fluent in service documentation, customer interaction, and problem-solving.
- ERP/ Service CRM (for job cards, reports)
- MS Excel / Word / Google Docs
- Basic familiarity with diagnostic tools (multimeter, software tools, calibration jigs)
- 60–70% travel to client locations across India (and sometimes overseas)
- Travel, lodging, and allowances are company-paid as per policy.
- Off-site or remote support duty on rotation (for critical customers)
