Job Summary
The AC Technician cum Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning systems and electrical equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations. The role includes preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, electrical wiring, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAir Conditioning (AC) Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair split ACs, central AC systems, chillers, and ventilation equipment.
- Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
- Check refrigerant levels, compressors, thermostats, motors, filters, and ducting systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for air conditioning systems.
- Ensure proper functioning and energy efficiency of cooling systems.
- Maintain records of repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for spare parts and major repairs when required.
Electrical Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, panels, switches, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment breakdowns.
- Perform preventive electrical maintenance for machinery and facility systems.
- Ensure proper electrical safety practices and compliance with regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
- Monitor power usage and report abnormalities.
- Respond quickly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in AC maintenance and electrical work.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to use testing and diagnostic tools.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Basic understanding of generator and UPS systems is an advantage.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience preferred.
