Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, vendor development, cost optimization, and timely sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, engineering items, and indirect purchases required for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and engineering items.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Finance, and Quality teams.
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Resolve supply-related issues and expedite urgent material requirements.
- Track inventory levels and initiate procurement based on reorder levels.
- Work towards continuous cost reduction and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in manufacturing, paper, printing, packaging, stationery, or FMCG industries.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Tally ERP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of GST documentation and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
