Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated web developer intern to join our marketing team. In this role, you will assist in developing, maintaining, and optimising company websites using both custom coding and WordPress. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience working on real-world web projects while collaborating with marketing and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Build, customise, and manage WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Convert design mockups into functional web pages.
- Update website content, images, and landing pages.
- Optimise website performance, speed, and SEO fundamentals.
- Troubleshoot website issues and implement fixes.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaign landing pages and improve user experience.
- Test websites across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility.
Requirements
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Familiarity with WordPress website development and customisation.
- Understanding of website hosting, domains, and basic SEO principles.
- Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, or React is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Portfolio or GitHub projects demonstrating web development skills are a plus.
