The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the jewellery workshop, ensuring timely production, quality standards, efficient manpower utilization, and proper control of gold and other materials. The role requires close coordination with the Purchase, Sales/Order, QA, Accounts, and Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the jewellery workshop.
- Plan and allocate production work to goldsmiths, artisans, setters, polishers, and other workshop staff.
- Ensure jewellery orders are completed according to the required design, quantity, quality, and delivery schedule.
- Monitor the movement and usage of gold, stones, and other valuable materials within the workshop.
- Maintain proper records of gold issued to and received from artisans and production staff.
- Ensure minimum gold wastage and monitor production loss/wastage against approved standards.
- Coordinate with the Order/Sales Department regarding production priorities and urgent customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the QA Department to ensure finished jewellery meets company quality standards.
- Inspect work progress and identify production delays, defects, rework, or workmanship issues.
- Ensure proper handling, security, and accountability of jewellery and precious materials.
- Monitor artisan productivity and maintain production-related records and reports.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
