1. Develop thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art through literature search, patent surveys etc;
2. Build experimental plan and execute small projects independently with minimal supervision; execute milestones within significant projects under supervision; perform sound data analysis, draw inference and communicate the analyses effectively
Solve project challenges using alternative approaches
Share updates within as well as outside the group;
3. Coordinate FRC pilot trials as appropriate; lead scale-up trials as a hands-on executor, as well as trial coordinator
4. Perform resource planning for assigned projects - alert project leaders for special requirements
5. Use knowledge of fibre downstream to establish new value-added fibres at customer end
6. Conduct & guide advanced fibre characterizations towards problem solving in new product development/customer complaint analysis
7. Support customer/manufacturing issue resolution through characterization and analysis in short span of time.
