Solar Engineer – Chandigarh

About the Role
Belmicro Technologies is looking for a Solar Engineer to join our Chandigarh team. The role involves site surveys, technical assessment, system understanding, customer consultation and coordination with the sales and project teams.
The candidate will work on real solar projects and gain practical exposure to solar design, site assessment, system sizing, electrical requirements and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct solar site surveys for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
- Assess rooftop area, shadow conditions, orientation and installation feasibility.
- Understand customer's electricity consumption and recommend suitable system capacity.
- Explain how solar systems work and answer customers' technical questions.
- Prepare basic system layouts, equipment requirements and technical reports.
- Assist in preparing solar proposals and quotations.
- Coordinate with design, sales and installation teams.
- Ensure technical requirements are correctly communicated before project execution.
- Assist the project team during installation and commissioning when required.
- Maintain site survey reports, photographs and technical documentation.
Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Renewable Energy or related engineering discipline.
- Freshers are welcome; relevant experience in solar/electrical projects will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of basic electrical concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
- Comfortable with field visits and travelling within Chandigarh/Tricity.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel or solar design software will be an advantage.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.
