About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchant Onboarding Executive to support the onboarding and activation of merchants for digital payment solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for merchant registration, KYC verification, documentation, account activation, and providing operational support to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end merchant onboarding and activation processes.
- Collect, verify, and validate merchant documentation and KYC details.
- Coordinate with merchants to ensure timely submission of required documents.
- Assist merchants in setting up payment acceptance solutions such as UPI QR, POS devices, and payment gateways.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Follow up with merchants to complete onboarding and activation formalities.
- Maintain accurate merchant records in CRM and onboarding systems.
- Resolve merchant queries related to onboarding, activation, and account setup.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Support teams for smooth merchant onboarding.
- Monitor onboarding progress and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Conduct onboarding training and product demonstrations when required.
- Prepare onboarding reports and maintain operational records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or any related discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in Merchant Onboarding, Customer Support, Operations, Banking, FinTech, or Digital Payments.
- Basic understanding of KYC, merchant verification, and digital payment processes.
- Knowledge of UPI, QR Payments, POS Devices, and Payment Gateway solutions.
- Strong communication and customer handling skills.
- Good documentation and record management abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, Payment Gateway, Merchant Acquiring, or Financial Services.
- Knowledge of merchant onboarding regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with digital payment ecosystems and merchant support operations.
- Experience handling customer onboarding or account activation processes.
