The Restaurant Electrician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems, lighting, kitchen machinery, and power supply units within the restaurant. This role ensures minimal downtime during service hours, strict compliance with commercial electrical codes, and a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical System Maintenance: Regularly inspect and service main power panels, distribution boards, wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and commercial wall outlets.
- Kitchen Equipment Servicing: Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on commercial kitchen appliances, including walk-in chillers/freezers, induction cooktops, fryers, dishwashers, exhaust fans, and ice machines.
- Lighting & Ambience Control: Install, test, and maintain front-of-house (FOH) architectural lighting, dimmers, LED setups, emergency lighting, and exterior signages.
- Emergency Response: Rapidly address sudden power trips, short circuits, or equipment failures during peak operational hours to prevent service disruptions.
- Preventive Inspections: Develop and execute daily/weekly preventative maintenance schedules to identify worn wiring, loose connections, or overload risks before failures occur.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations strictly follow local electrical codes, occupational safety guidelines, and restaurant safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a commercial electrician, ideally in restaurants, hotels, or food service facilities.
- Certification: Certified Electrician / ITI in Electrical Trade / Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent local electrical certification).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong diagnostic abilities using multimeters, insulation testers, and power analyzers.
- Practical knowledge of 3-phase power distribution common in commercial kitchens.
- Availability: Flexibility to work on shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergency late-night calls.
Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
