Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Control Panel Wireman Engineer to assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels according to electrical drawings and industry standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in panel wiring, troubleshooting, and electrical component installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and schematics.
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels, PLC panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, VFD panels, and distribution boards.
- Install electrical components such as contactors, relays, MCBs, MCCBs, VFDs, PLCs, timers, SMPS, terminals, and indicators.
- Perform panel wiring, ferruling, crimping, cable dressing, and cable routing.
- Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing of completed panels.
- Identify and rectify wiring faults or electrical issues during assembly and testing.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and quality procedures.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to complete projects within deadlines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.
- Prepare daily work reports and maintain documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical control panel wiring.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with PLC, MCC, PCC, APFC, VFD, and control panels.
- Knowledge of electrical components and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, meggers, and clamp meters.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of electrical safety practices and standards.
Qualifications
- ITI (Electrician/Wireman) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in electrical control panel manufacturing or industrial electrical wiring.
- Freshers with relevant technical training may also apply.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industrial automation projects.
- Knowledge of PLC I/O wiring and field instrument wiring.
- Familiarity with panel standards and quality inspection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
