Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in our paint production unit. The candidate will be responsible for supervising shop floor activities, ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production targets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure work is carried out as per the production plan
- Monitor manufacturing processes to maintain productivity, quality, and minimum downtime
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and company procedures during production
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and other departments for timely availability of raw materials and packing materials
- Supervise production workers and allocate manpower effectively based on workload and priorities
- Maintain production records, daily reports, batch details, and other required documentation
- Ensure proper handling of machinery, equipment, and tools on the shop floor
- Enforce safety practices, housekeeping, and compliance with company safety guidelines
- Identify process issues, support troubleshooting, and take corrective action to avoid delays or wastage
- Support continuous improvement in production efficiency, output, and material utilization
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of paint manufacturing processes will be an added advantage
- Strong supervisory and shop floor management skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical ability
- Ability to handle manpower and coordinate production activities effectively
- Good communication and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety practices and quality standards in manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in paint / chemical / coating industry
- Familiarity with production planning, inventory coordination, and batch process monitoring
