Job Summary
The Weaving Maintenance Technician/Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing weaving machines and related equipment to ensure maximum machine availability, minimize downtime, and support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of weaving machines.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic faults.
- Ensure all weaving machines operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Carry out routine inspections and lubrication schedules.
- Coordinate with production teams for timely maintenance activities.
- Replace worn-out parts and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements for better efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
- Reduce recurring machine failures through root cause analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of weaving machine maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, ECE, Textile Technology, or related field.
- ITI candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in weaving machine maintenance.
- Experience in Air Jet, Rapier, Projectile, or Shuttle Loom maintenance is preferred.
Pay: ₹10,527.77 - ₹25,000.00 per month
