Employee Relations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and mature HR professional to lead the Employee Relations and HR Operations function across large employee populations at our Ranchi and Bangalore locations. The role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who can drive a positive employee environment, strengthen workforce engagement, and enable operational excellence through robust HR practices and digitization initiatives.
The incumbent will play a critical role in building trust-based employee relations, ensuring governance and compliance, and partnering closely with business leaders to drive a high-performance and people-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations Management
- Lead and manage Employee Relations in the plant.
- Build and sustain a positive, healthy, and productive work environment.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and policy implementation.
- Partner with business and site leadership teams to proactively address employee concerns and workforce challenges.
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, labour practices, and employee governance standards.
2. Employee Lifecycle Digitization
- Drive digitization and automation initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
- Improve HR operational efficiency through technology-enabled solutions and process optimization.
- Support implementation, adoption, and stabilization of HR systems and digital workflows.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline HR processes and enhance employee experience.
3. HR Operations & Site Management
- Manage day-to-day HR operational activities across assigned locations.
- Ensure smooth execution of HR policies, compliance, attendance, onboarding, documentation, and governance processes.
- Support manpower-related operational requirements and workforce planning activities.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of HR practices across locations.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture Building
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture interventions.
- Design and execute ER-focused engagement programs and employee connect initiatives.
- Strengthen employee experience and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Support leadership in driving organisation culture and employee morale.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Track, analyse, and report key HR and employee metrics.
- Generate actionable insights and dashboards for leadership decision-making.
Maintain periodic MIS reports related to employee relations, attrition, engagement, and HR operations.

Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of relevant HR experience with strong exposure to Employee Relations and HR Operations.
- Proven experience in managing large employee populations, preferably within manufacturing or operations-driven environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
- Mature personality with high credibility and strong problem-solving orientation.
- Hands-on operational approach with the ability to work closely with business teams.
- Experience in HR digitization and process automation initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of local language(s) will be an added advantage.
- MBA / PGDM from a reputed Tier-2 management institute is mandatory.
