1. Job Summary
Harsha College of Nursing, Harsha Institutions, invites applications from qualified and experienced nursing professionals for the position of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor in Paediatrics Nursing.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, clinical teaching, student mentoring, research activities, curriculum development, and departmental responsibilities in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the affiliated University/Regulatory Authorities.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct effective classroom teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students in Paediatrics Nursing.
- Plan and deliver lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, seminars, case studies, and other academic activities.
- Supervise and guide students during paediatric clinical postings and practical training.
- Ensure effective clinical teaching and assessment of students in paediatric wards, NICU, PICU, immunization clinics, and other relevant clinical areas.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, question papers, assignments, and assessment tools.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, clinical evaluations, and student performance reviews.
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academic performance, clinical skills, professional development, and career progression.
- Maintain academic records, attendance registers, clinical records, and other departmental documentation.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, conferences, seminars, and faculty development programmes.
- Encourage students to participate in research, community health activities, academic competitions, and professional events.
- Undertake and publish research and scholarly activities in nursing and paediatric healthcare.
- Guide students in research projects, dissertations, presentations, and academic publications, as applicable to the designation.
- Participate in departmental planning, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, and institutional programmes.
- Maintain professional relationships with hospitals and clinical partners to facilitate effective clinical training.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, academic regulations, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Perform any other academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the Principal/HOD/Management.
3. Academic & Professional Requirements
- Essential: M.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic M.Sc. Nursing in Paediatrics Nursing from a recognized institution.
- B.Sc. Nursing qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council, as applicable.
- Teaching and clinical experience as prescribed by the applicable regulatory and University norms.
- Candidates applying for Associate Professor / Professor should possess the required academic and teaching experience for the respective designation.
- Ph.D. in Nursing will be an added advantage for senior academic positions.
- Strong knowledge of paediatric nursing practices, clinical procedures, child health, neonatal care, growth and development, and evidence-based nursing practice.

6. Job Responsibilities by Designation
Assistant Professor
- Deliver undergraduate/postgraduate teaching as assigned.
- Conduct clinical supervision and student assessments.
- Participate in departmental academic activities and research.
- Mentor students and support departmental documentation and institutional activities.
Associate Professor
- Undertake advanced teaching and clinical supervision responsibilities.
- Coordinate academic activities within the department.
- Guide student research and support faculty development.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning, research, accreditation, and departmental administration.
- Support the HOD in managing academic and clinical activities.
Professor
- Provide academic and professional leadership to the Paediatrics Nursing department.
- Lead curriculum development, academic planning, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and guide faculty members and students.
- Supervise research projects and postgraduate academic activities, as applicable.
- Contribute to institutional development, accreditation, professional collaborations, and strategic academic initiatives.

Salary: Commensurate with qualification, experience, designation, and institutional norms.

10. Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications, teaching experience, clinical expertise, research profile, and overall suitability for the position. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and/or demonstration as applicable.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
