Ekta Shakti Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with its headquarters in New Delhi. Since 2003, Ekta Shakti Foundation has been dedicated to the holistic development of children, differently-abled individuals, Youth, and Women. With a focus on thematic areas such as Health and Nutrition, Disability, Skills/Livelihood, and Environment, the foundation benefits around 1.2 million underprivileged children, Women, and Youth in India.
Brahmashakti Special School, a unit of Ekta Shakti Foundation, is dedicated to empowering children with special needs through education, therapy, and vocational training. It provides structured special education programs, early intervention services, rehabilitation, and counselling to help children overcome developmental challenges. With a strong focus on self-reliance, the school offers pre-vocational and vocational training, equipping students with practical skills to lead independent lives. Currently, more than 80 children are enrolled, benefiting from individualized learning plans, therapeutic support, and inclusive activities that nurture their strengths and potential.
Job Title: Special Educator
Location: West Delhi
Role Purpose:
The Special Educator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating individualized education programs (IEPs) for children with diverse learning needs. The role requires close collaboration with parents, therapists, and other educators to foster inclusive learning and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s abilities and needs.
- Provide specialized instruction to children with intellectual, developmental, and learning disabilities.
- Use adaptive teaching methods and assistive technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with therapists, counsellors, and mainstream educators to ensure integrated support.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and prepare progress reports.
- Organize workshops, awareness sessions, and parent meetings to strengthen home-school partnerships.
- Promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed. in Special Education / M.Ed. in Special Education).
- RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with children with special needs (fresher’s with strong commitment may also be considered).

- Ability to design and implement individualized teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for inclusive education.
- Knowledge of assistive devices and inclusive classroom practices.
