As a Data Processing Technician, you will play a key role in transforming raw survey and geospatial data into accurate, high quality deliverables that support engineering, infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK. Working as part of our technical delivery team, you will process data captured using a range of advanced technologies including terrestrial laser scanners, drones, GNSS equipment and mobile mapping systems.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced data processor to further develop their technical expertise while working with some of the latest geospatial technologies in the industry.

Processing and managing survey data collected from LiDAR scanners, GNSS equipment, drones and NavVis mobile mapping systems

Registering, aligning, classifying and cleaning point cloud datasets using software such as Leica Cyclone, Register 360 and NavVis IVION

Producing high-quality deliverables including registered point clouds, orthophotos, digital terrain models (DTMs), digital surface models (DSMs), 3D mesh models and topographical outputs

Importing, converting and analysing geospatial data to meet project and client specifications

Preparing client ready reports, data summaries and graphical outputs using Microsoft Excel

Collaborating closely with Surveyors and field teams to validate data, identify anomalies and resolve processing issues

Maintaining structured data storage, version control and project records in line with company procedures
-
Ensuring all processing workflows are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards and compliance requirements

Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes across project deliverables

Identifying opportunities to improve processing workflows, automation and data management practices
-
Keeping up to date with developments in geospatial technology, software platforms and industry best practice

25 years' experience in a data processing or geospatial delivery role
-
Experience processing data from terrestrial LiDAR systems, UAS photogrammetry and GNSS survey equipment

Experience working with NavVis indoor mobile mapping systems such as M6 or VLX is highly desirable

Strong technical capability using data processing software including Leica Cyclone, NavVis IVION and AutoCAD or similar platforms

Good understanding of coordinate systems, georeferencing principles and common survey data formats such as LAS, E57 and RCP
-
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting and advanced formulas

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs

Good understanding of project specifications, standards and client requirements

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
