Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supporting the execution of greenfield, brownfield, expansion, modernization, and maintenance projects within the integrated steel plant. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines.
- Prepare project execution schedules and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion.
2. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, Safety, and Contractor teams.
- Ensure smooth communication among stakeholders and project participants.
- Follow up on pending actions and critical project deliverables.
- Organize project review meetings and maintain meeting records.
3. Execution Monitoring
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly project progress.
- Monitor installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
- Identify project delays, bottlenecks, and risks.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
4. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for procurement of project materials and equipment.
- Track delivery schedules of machinery, spares, and project components.
- Ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
- Monitor material consumption and inventory related to projects.
5. Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
- Monitor contractor performance and adherence to project schedules.
- Verify work completion reports and project documentation.
- Facilitate issue resolution between contractors and plant departments.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, technical specifications, and approvals.
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
- Update project trackers and management dashboards.
- Maintain records of project correspondence and change requests.
7. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project expenditures and budget utilization.
- Track purchase orders, invoices, and contractor bills.
- Support cost analysis and project financial reporting.
- Assist in controlling project costs and minimizing overruns.
8. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure project activities comply with approved drawings and technical standards.
- Coordinate inspections and quality checks.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, environmental, and company requirements.
- Support project audits and documentation reviews.
9. Safety Management
- Promote adherence to plant safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate safety permits and work clearances.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments.
10. Project Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Prepare project completion reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover to operations and maintenance teams.
- Support performance testing and project closure activities.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, Primavera, MS Project) is an added advantage.
- 3–8 years of experience in project execution or coordination within Steel, Power, Cement, Mining, or Heavy Manufacturing Industries.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
