Job Summary
The Senior Finishing Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling all finishing operations for woven fabrics to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications are achieved. The role involves leading production teams, monitoring machine performance, minimizing defects, and ensuring efficient utilization of manpower and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Supervise daily finishing operations, including stenter, sanforizing, calendaring, compactor, raising, brushing, and other finishing processes as applicable.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Monitor machine efficiency, productivity, and downtime.
- Coordinate with Planning, Dyeing, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
- Ensure timely completion of customer orders.
Quality Control
- Ensure finished fabrics meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor GSM, width, shrinkage, skewness, bowing, shade, hand feel, and appearance.
- Analyze quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce reprocessing, rejection, and fabric wastage.
- Ensure compliance with approved finishing parameters.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise shift supervisors, machine operators, and helpers.
- Allocate manpower effectively according to production requirements.
- Conduct daily production meetings and shift handovers.
- Monitor employee discipline, attendance, and performance.
Machine & Process Control
- Ensure proper machine settings and process parameters.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.
- Monitor chemical and utility consumption to optimize production costs.
- Maintain high machine utilization and efficiency.
Required Skills

Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in woven fabric finishing operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a textile finishing department.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
