Role Summary
The Junior Civil Engineer will support day-to-day site execution of RCC and finishing works for a high-rise residential tower, ensuring work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. You will assist the site engineer/manager in planning daily activities, monitoring progress, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining basic site documentation. Your contribution will directly impact site stability, reduction of rework, and adherence to safety and quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and supervising daily RCC, formwork, reinforcement, and masonry activities for assigned zones/floors as per drawings and method statements.
- Check line, level, and dimensions at site against structural and architectural drawings; highlight discrepancies to senior engineers and consultants.
- Coordinate with contractors, foremen, and supervisors to ensure availability of materials, manpower, and tools as per daily/weekly work plans.
- Monitor concrete pours (including cube casting), reinforcement placement, shuttering quality, and curing to meet quality and safety standards.
- Support preparation of basic site documentation such as daily progress reports (DPR), pour cards, checklists, and work inspection requests (WIRs) as guided by senior staff.
- Liaise with MEP teams during slab, shaft, and service area works to avoid clashes and rework, ensuring proper sleeve and opening provisions.
- Assist in implementing housekeeping, safety practices, and PPE compliance on site, and report any unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents.
Essential requirements
- B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with 0.5–2 years of site experience (including internships) in building projects
- Hands-on exposure to RCC building construction, preferably in mid or high-rise residential/commercial projects
- Basic ability to read and understand civil drawings (structural, architectural) and reinforcement detailing
- Willingness to work full-time at site in Pune with flexibility for extended hours as per site requirements
- Strong fundamentals in concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and masonry works
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/Marathi for coordination with site teams and contractors
Bonus qualifications
- Prior experience or internship on high-rise (20+ floors) residential projects
- Basic understanding of quality checklists, cube testing, and site documentation (pour cards, DPR, WIRs)
- Exposure to billing/measurement (MB preparation) for contractors
- Knowledge of basic safety practices and PPE requirements on construction sites

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
