Key Responsibilities
- OT Preparation: Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries, including sterilising, cleaning, and arranging all required surgical instruments and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, test, and calibrate critical OT equipment such as anaesthesia machines, monitors, ventilators, and cautery machines to ensure they function flawlessly.
- Sterilisation Control: Oversee strict infection control protocols and manage the sterilisation of surgical drapes, gowns, and instruments using autoclave or chemical methods.
- Patient Support: Assist in safely transferring, positioning, and prepping patients on the operating table while ensuring maximum comfort and dignity.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of OT drugs, gases, sterile supplies, and surgical consumables to prevent stockouts.
- BMW Management: Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste generated in the OT according to government and hospital safety guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as an OT Technician.
