Role overview
We are seeking a Cloud Service Engineer to provide Level 2 (L2) operational support for Azure cloud environments and work closely with Cloud Architects on implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires hands-on experience with Azure services, troubleshooting cloud workloads, incident resolution, service requests, and a foundational understanding of cloud architecture, cost management, and governance.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused approach and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, application, security, and architecture teams.
Key responsibilities
Provide L2 support for Azure-based infrastructure and platform services.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues within defined SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings for recurring issues.
Monitor cloud environments and proactively identify performance, availability, and security concerns.
Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers, Cloud Architects, or Microsoft support when required.
Support production, staging, and development environments.
Support identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID.
Assist in implementing security recommendations and governance policies.
Work closely with Cloud Architects during solution deployment and operational transition.
Participate in architecture reviews and operational readiness assessments.
Assist with cloud migration, modernization, and optimization activities.
Prepare incidents, problem management, and service performance reports.
Required experience and skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure environments.
Experience in L2 support, incident management, and operational troubleshooting.
Good understanding of ITIL-based service management.
