We are looking for an energetic, result-oriented, and experienced professional to lead our Tour Operations and Business Development function and drive the expansion of our inbound and outbound tourism business.
Position Summary
The Manager – Tour Operations & Business Development will be responsible for developing and managing the company's inbound, outbound, and domestic holiday business while leading a high-performing team. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen who can develop new travel products, expand business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and ensure seamless delivery of high-quality travel services.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Develop and implement strategies to expand inbound, outbound, and domestic tour business.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, destination management companies (DMCs), tourism boards, hotels, airlines, and other travel partners.
- Develop strategic alliances to strengthen the company's market presence.
- Achieve departmental sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
Tour Operations
- Lead and manage all inbound, outbound, domestic, leisure, group, FIT, MICE, educational, pilgrimage, and corporate tour operations.
- Develop attractive and competitive holiday packages based on market demand.
- Prepare tour itineraries, costing, quotations, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, transport providers, visa consultants, and other suppliers to ensure smooth tour execution.
- Monitor service quality and ensure an excellent customer experience throughout the travel journey.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
Product Development
- Research emerging travel trends and new destinations.
- Design innovative travel products and seasonal holiday packages.
- Evaluate the commercial viability and profitability of tour packages.
- Continuously improve existing products based on customer feedback and market trends.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and lead the Tour Operations and Sales team.
- Set performance targets and monitor individual and team productivity.
- Foster a culture of customer excellence, innovation, teamwork, and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify staff development needs.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote holiday packages through digital platforms, social media, exhibitions, travel fairs, and promotional campaigns.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and business meetings.
- Strengthen the company's brand positioning in the travel market.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare departmental budgets and monitor operational expenses.
- Ensure profitability of all tour products through effective pricing and cost management.
- Prepare periodic business performance reports and management information reports (MIS).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and tourism industry regulations.
Qualifications
- MBA from a recognized university (Mandatory).
- Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Travel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as IATA/UFTAA, Tourism Management, or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Tours & Travel industry.
- Proven experience in developing and managing inbound and outbound tour operations.
- Experience in holiday package development, tour costing, itinerary planning, supplier management, and business development.
- Candidates with UAE/GCC experience will be given preference.
Technical Skills
- Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
- Experience in itinerary planning and holiday package development.
- Knowledge of airline reservation systems such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with visa processing, travel insurance, and travel documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and travel management software.

Compensation
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and industry standards.
