Project Overview The "Empowerment of Women Farmers in Gadchiroli" project will work with tribal communities in the remote villages of Dhanora and Korchi blocks. It aims to strengthen women's institutions, climate-resilient agriculture, forest and livestock-based livelihoods, nutrition and health, inclusive participation, and evidence-based programme delivery. The approach emphasizes community ownership through women's SHGs, producer organizations, Gram Sabhas, government convergence, and sustainable local enterprises.
The coordinator will lead interventions to strengthen women's livelihoods through sustainable NTFP value chains and community institutions, combining enterprise development, institutional strengthening, and market linkage facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare work plans, coordinate field teams, and ensure achievement of project outputs and outcomes.
- Promote high-potential NTFPs through sustainable harvesting, value addition, enterprise development, market assessment, and linkages.
- Strengthen SHGs, FPOs/FPCs, CLFs, and producer groups in governance, finance, leadership, and planning.
- Conduct training on NTFP management, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business management, gender equality, leadership, digital literacy, and market readiness.
- Promote women-led micro-enterprises and collectives through finance, incubation, mentoring, leadership, and decision-making.
- Support business planning, entrepreneurship, value-chain strengthening, and viable producer enterprises.
- Maintain monitoring systems and MIS, track physical and financial progress, report, and document learning. ï Build partnerships with departments, CSR partners, NGOs, research and financial institutions, and community organizations.
- Organize consultations, workshops, exposure visits, reviews, and learning platforms.
- Ensure quality, accountability, sustainability, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Qualification
Master's degree in Rural Development, Forestry, Agriculture, Rural Management, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 7-8 years in rural livelihoods, women's empowerment, NTFP development, community institution building, tribal development, or natural resource management. Age Limit 35- 40 Years
Languages: Fluency in English, Marathi, and Hindi is essential.
Period: Sep 2026 - May 2027 (8 months) Extendable based on performance and project funding
