Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Setup & Manufacturing Operations
- Lead complete setup, commissioning, and operation of wire and cable extrusion plants.
- Manage and optimize all manufacturing processes:
- Extrusion
- Stranding & Bunching
- Laying-Up
- Armoring
- Sheathing
- Conductor manufacturing
- Lead sheathing of EHV cables
- Rubber cable manufacturing
- Oversee production of:
- HT cables up to 33 kV
- PVC Power & Control Cables
- LT XLPE Cables
- Instrumentation Cables
- Aerial Bunched Cables (ABC)
- PILC Cables
- ACSR Conductors
2. Production Planning & Execution
- Own end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Calculate raw material requirements and operation-wise cable lengths.
- Prepare and issue daily, weekly, and monthly production programs.
- Allocate jobs and ensure effective manpower utilization.
- Arrange raw materials, dies, rollers, and other production tooling.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to delivery commitments.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications, and applicable national/international standards.
- Control and issue quality and ISO documentation.
- Drive a zero-defect culture and continuous quality improvement.
- Analyze production and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support customer audits, inspections, and certification requirements.
4. Cost Control & Resource Optimization
- Control material consumption, waste, and scrap generation.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives across production and processes.
- Optimize utilization of plant, machinery, manpower, and inventory.
- Strong knowledge of cable design, costing, and plant utilization.
5. Maintenance & Productivity Improvement
- Ensure high equipment availability through preventive and corrective maintenance coordination.
- Reduce cycle times through line balancing and process optimization.
- Manage productivity across all sections including extrusion, laying-up, armouring, stranding, and bunching.
- Lead KAIZEN and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. People Leadership & Administration
- Lead the entire factory workforce and all operational functions.
- Build strong shop-floor discipline and encourage worker cooperation to achieve production targets.
- Develop team capabilities through training, guidance, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement, quality, maintenance, planning, and management.
- Provide regular operational reports to the Managing Director.
- Support new product development and customer-specific requirements.

Experience
- 20+ years in wire and cable manufacturing
- Significant experience as Plant Head / Operations Head / Factory Head
- Strong exposure to EHV, HV, MV, and LV cable manufacturing
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
