The Assembly Line Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising the complete assembly line operations, including the Manual Insertion (MI) Line, Touch-Up Team, and Visual Inspection Team.
The role requires ensuring smooth production flow, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, managing manpower efficiently, and ensuring proper reporting, discipline, and process compliance across the production line.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, production management experience, and the ability to handle team coordination, process monitoring, and continuous operational improvement in a professional manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Manage daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved on time.
- Supervise MI Line, Touch-Up Team, and Visual Inspection operations efficiently.
- Monitor line productivity and production efficiency continuously.
- Identify production bottlenecks, delays, or operational issues and take immediate corrective actions.
- Ensure smooth workflow and coordination between different production stages.
- Maintain production discipline and operational continuity.
2. Team Management
- Lead and manage operators, technicians, inspectors, and line staff.
- Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements.
- Conduct daily line briefings and work assignments.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and overall performance.
- Train new employees on production processes, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Support team development and maintain a positive work culture.
- Motivate teams to improve productivity and efficiency.
3. Quality Control & Visual Inspection
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards.
- Supervise visual inspection activities and ensure proper inspection processes are followed.
- Monitor touch-up and correction activities to maintain product quality.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and production defects.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for issue resolution and corrective actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring production or quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and process quality requirements.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain Daily Production Reports.
- Track target vs. achievement performance.
- Maintain rejection, rework, pending, and downtime reports.
- Submit line performance and manpower reports to management.
- Report production delays, breakdowns, shortages, or quality issues promptly.
- Maintain proper production records and documentation.
5. Process Improvement & SOP Compliance
- Ensure all production activities follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain proper 5S and workplace discipline on the production floor.
- Suggest process improvements for better quality and operational performance.
- Ensure safety procedures and production standards are followed.
6. Tools, Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of production tools and equipment.
- Monitor soldering stations, fixtures, hand tools, and assembly equipment regularly.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department for breakdown resolution.
- Ensure required tools, consumables, and materials are available for uninterrupted production.
- Maintain equipment condition and reduce operational downtime.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing / PCB Assembly Industry preferred
- Experience handling Manual Insertion (MI) Lines preferred
- 3–7 years of relevant production management experience
- Experience in assembly line supervision and quality monitoring
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
