As we enter the next phase of growth, we are looking for a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead our commercial expansion and build a scalable growth engine across online and offline channels.
Role Overview
The Chief Growth Officer will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Modern Trade, and General Trade channels.
This role requires a commercially driven leader who understands digital commerce, marketplace algorithms, advertising efficiency, channel economics, customer acquisition, and retail expansion. The ideal candidate has successfully scaled consumer brands in categories such as nutraceuticals, artificial sweeteners, proteins, dietary supplements, wellness, or functional foods.
This is a leadership role with significant autonomy, visibility, and equity participation.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth Strategy & Revenue Leadership
- Develop and execute Biotane's growth strategy across all channels.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy contribution margins.
- Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, categories, and markets.
- Build annual, quarterly, and monthly growth plans.
E-commerce & Marketplace Growth
- Own business performance across Amazon, Flipkart, and other marketplaces.
- Improve category rankings, search visibility, conversion rates, and repeat purchases.
- Drive marketplace expansion and category leadership.
- Manage pricing, promotions, assortment, and content strategy.
Quick Commerce Growth
- Lead growth across Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BigBasket, and emerging quick commerce platforms.
- Build platform-specific growth plans and joint business plans.
- Improve distribution, discoverability, availability, and velocity.
- Drive strong execution with category managers and platform teams.
Advertising & Profitability Management
- Manage digital advertising budgets across marketplaces and performance channels.
- Optimize ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, customer acquisition costs, and contribution margins.
- Ensure sustainable growth through disciplined capital allocation.
- Develop reporting systems and performance dashboards.
Offline Expansion
- Support growth across General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
- Build relationships with distributors, retailers, and strategic partners.
- Identify regional expansion opportunities and new routes to market.
Commercial Operations
- Lead forecasting, inventory planning, pricing, trade promotions, and commercial planning.
- Improve sales productivity and operational efficiency.
- Build scalable systems and processes to support growth.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing growth and commercial team.
- Establish a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and execution excellence.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams.
Ideal CandidateExperience
- 8–10 years of experience in growth, commercial, category management, e-commerce, sales, or business leadership roles.
- Proven track record of scaling consumer brands across Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and other commerce platforms.
- Experience in nutraceuticals, proteins, artificial sweeteners, dietary supplements, wellness, or adjacent FMCG categories preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketplace operations, category management, and digital commerce economics.
- Experience managing significant revenue responsibility and growth targets.
Skills
- Deep understanding of Amazon and marketplace growth levers.
- Expertise in ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CAC, contribution margins, and unit economics.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Analytical, entrepreneurial, and highly execution-focused.
