Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in EPC / industrial project engineering. The candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical design of process equipment, piping systems, static and rotating equipment, and preparation/review of engineering documentation.
The role will involve undertaking and reviewing mechanical engineering work, developing equipment datasheets, specifications, calculations and drawings, and coordinating with process, civil, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure technically sound and constructible designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mechanical Design & Engineering: Undertake and review mechanical design of static and rotating equipment, process equipment, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and associated systems. Prepare/review equipment specifications, datasheets, design calculations and technical documentation.
2. Piping Design & Engineering: Develop and review piping layouts, piping specifications, isometrics, GA drawings, material take-offs and piping-related engineering deliverables. Ensure appropriate material selection, sizing, routing, supports and integration with equipment and other disciplines.
3. Engineering Drawings & Documentation: Prepare and review GA drawings, fabrication/detailing drawings, equipment datasheets, mechanical specifications, BOQs/MTOs and technical requisitions. Ensure designs comply with project requirements and applicable ASME, API, IS, ASTM and other relevant codes and standards.
4. Vendor & Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate with process, civil, electrical, instrumentation, procurement teams and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure consistency between engineering deliverables and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· 4–7 years of experience in mechanical design/engineering within EPC or industrial projects.
· Experience in process plants, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, waste-to-energy, hydrogen or similar industrial projects preferred.
· Hands-on experience with static equipment, rotating equipment and piping engineering.
Required Skills
· Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, equipment design and piping engineering.
· Experience in preparing and reviewing equipment datasheets, specifications, drawings and design calculations.
· Working understanding of CAD softwares for drafting and design
· Good knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, IS and other applicable design codes.
· Ability to interpret and work with P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment layouts and piping isometrics.
· Strong understanding of materials, fabrication, equipment detailing and constructability.
· Good coordination and technical problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
