Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Sales & Application Engineer to promote and develop the Dormer Pramet product range in Ahmedabad and surrounding industrial areas. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, supporting existing customers, conducting machining trials, and providing technical recommendations for cutting tool applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Dormer Pramet cutting tools to manufacturing industries.
- Visit machine shops, OEMs, subcontractors, and engineering companies regularly.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop new customers.
- Conduct tool trials and machining demonstrations at customer sites.
- Recommend appropriate tooling solutions to improve productivity and tool life.
- Provide technical support for turning, milling, drilling, and threading applications.
- Prepare quotations, follow up on inquiries, and close sales opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with production, purchase, and management teams of customers.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Maintain CRM records and submit regular visit reports.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in cutting tools, CNC machining, tooling sales, or application engineering.
- Good understanding of CNC Turning, Milling, and Drilling operations.
- Knowledge of cutting parameters, insert grades, and machining processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Ahmedabad and nearby industrial areas.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Dormer, Pramet, Sandvik, Kennametal, TaeguTec, Widia, Seco, Mitsubishi, or similar cutting tool brands.
- Existing relationships with machine shops and manufacturing companies in Gujarat.
