Job Summary:
We are looking for a versatile and creative 3D Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in various aspects of 3D production including modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, and rendering. You will work closely with the art director, concept artists, and developers to bring high-quality 3D assets and animations to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models (characters, props, environments) from concept or references.
- Apply textures, shaders, and materials to assets.
- Rig and animate characters or objects as needed.
- Set up lighting and render scenes for stills and animation.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure assets are optimized for real-time engines (Unity, Unreal) or pre-rendered pipelines.
- Maintain consistent art quality and style throughout the project.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical and artistic challenges.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter).
- Solid understanding of modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, and animation.
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity (optional but preferred).
- Strong artistic sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with photorealistic rendering and/or stylized art styles.
- Basic knowledge of scripting or tools creation (e.g., Python, MEL).
- Experience in VFX, compositing, or motion graphics is a plus.
- Prior experience in game development, animation studios, or VFX pipelines.
