About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Reporter / News Writer to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in digital journalism, excellent writing skills, and the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and timely news content for both our website and social media platforms.
As a Reporter / News Writer, you will cover a variety of topics, including Technology, Automotive, Real Estate, and Travel, while ensuring all content meets high editorial standards and is optimized for digital audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and publish original news articles for our magazine and website.
- Cover breaking news and trending stories across Technology, Automotive, Real Estate, and Travel.
- Monitor industry developments and identify newsworthy topics.
- Conduct research using reliable and credible sources to ensure factual accuracy.
- Write engaging headlines, summaries, and SEO-friendly content.
- Create compelling captions and short-form content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Threads.
- Collaborate with editors to maintain editorial quality, accuracy, and publishing deadlines.
- Update existing articles as new information becomes available.
- Follow journalistic ethics, fact-checking practices, and editorial guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in news writing, digital journalism, or content writing.
- Excellent written English with strong grammar, spelling, and editing skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging news articles under tight deadlines.
- Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for digital publishing.
- Understanding of social media content creation and audience engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for online news websites, digital magazines, or media organizations.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Understanding of AP Style or similar journalistic writing standards.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Trends, Google News, and social media monitoring platforms.
