Role Overview

We are seeking a cybersecurity professional with strong Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) capability to support enterprise security governance, risk management and compliance activities across technology and business environments.
The role will primarily focus on cybersecurity governance, control assessments, risk management, compliance activities and third-party security reviews, with some exposure to security advisory and secure-by-design initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance activities across enterprise environments
- Perform security control assessments aligned to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight and internal security standards
- Assist with security risk assessments, risk treatment tracking and control gap analysis
- Support third-party/vendor security assessments and due diligence reviews
- Review security policies, standards, procedures and control documentation
- Work with technology, infrastructure, cloud and application teams to gather compliance and security evidence
- Support audit activities, remediation tracking and compliance reporting
- Assist with security awareness, governance processes and security assurance activities
- Provide light security advisory support to projects and technology teams where required
- Support secure-by-design and security review processes under guidance from senior security resources
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) principles and cybersecurity control frameworks
- Experience working with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Essential Eight or similar standards
- Experience supporting security assessments, compliance reviews and risk management activities
- Good understanding of enterprise security controls and security governance processes
- Ability to analyse and document security risks, control gaps and remediation actions
- Strong stakeholder communication and reporting capability
- Good documentation, analytical and organisational skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to third-party risk management or vendor security assessments
- Exposure to cloud, SaaS or enterprise application environments
- Basic understanding of security architecture or secure-by-design principles
- Familiarity with identity and access management, vulnerability management and security operations concepts
