Job Summary
We are looking for an ITI Fitter (Fresher) who will support fabrication, fitting, and mechanical assembly activities. The candidate will work under the supervision of senior technicians and engineers to ensure accurate fitting and installation of components as per drawings and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in fitting and assembling mechanical parts and components.
· Read and understand basic engineering drawings.
· Perform drilling, tapping, cutting, grinding, and finishing work.
· Use measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes.
· Support alignment and installation of fabricated parts.
· Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow safety guidelines.
· Assist in inspection and quality checks of fitted components.
· Report defects or deviations to the supervisor.
Required Skills
· Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment.
· Ability to read simple technical drawings.
· Understanding of tolerances and measurements.
· Good hand skills and attention to detail.
· Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
· Basic knowledge of workshop safety practices.
Preferred
· Apprenticeship or industrial training exposure.
· Experience in steel fabrication / container manufacturing (if applicable).
