We are currently looking to hire a Senior Developer - IHS Markit / SQL within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team, which is a part of LPL’s Technology organization. The role requires senior level resource for supporting data management projects like Enterprise Data Management, Data mart and other Business Intelligence related projects.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop and maintain data management systems for Team according to best practices and architectural guidance.
Enhance/Maintain/support existing applications.
Collaborate with other developers in designing.
Collaborate with business partners, Architects, Quality Assurance, Release Management, and the Change
Control board to plan, design, develop and implement solutions based on the needs.
Suggest new processes and document reoccurring processes that will help streamline software development.
Participate in all phases of the software engineering life cycle.
Ensure the necessary platform technical documentation is maintained in an appropriate manner.
Provide technical troubleshooting and advanced debug support.
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in data management/master data solutions, including experience with mastering tools (IHS Markit/Cadis preferred).
7+ years of hands-on experience in database design and development using MS SQL Server and Oracle.
Experience with data extraction, transformation, and summarization across multiple data sources, along with end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) involvement.
Familiarity with TFS source control, build processes, and continuous delivery (CI/CD); experience in Financial Services is preferred.
Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and design patterns, with the ability to apply them in solution development.
Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues across data and application environments.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
Experience working in team-based environments, managing assigned deliverables, and meeting project timelines.
Ability to facilitate solution delivery and support organizational change initiatives through stakeholder engagement and process adoption.
